Therapist. Healing nerd. Believer that therapy is as essential to your health as physical care, and that everyone deserves a space where they don't have to perform.
I've been in behavioral health since 2010, and I learned this work in the places where people fight hardest to hold their lives together: community mental health, family and child welfare, K-12 schools, collegiate disability services, and substance use recovery. Long before I had a private practice, I was sitting with people on their hardest days, learning what actually helps.
Those years taught me two things. Healing is possible for everyone. And people from marginalized communities deserve a space to just be themselves, without the judgments of the world trying to define them.
That's the space I built Balanced Embodiment Therapy, LLC to be.
I use an eclectic, holistic approach and tailor the care to you: person-centered at the core, with DBT skills, Brainspotting, somatic work, and mindfulness woven in as you need them. I'm a trauma-informed provider, but you don't need a trauma story to belong here. It simply means the care you receive will be informed, intentional, and supportive.
The name is the promise. Keeping balance (Balanced), giving form to feelings and ideas (Embodiment), and healing (Therapy). BET on yourself isn't just our tagline. It's the ask I make of every client, and the bet I make on you from day one.
Deep training in dialectical behavior therapy: concrete, practiced skills for overwhelming emotions.
Brain-based processing that reaches trauma stored deeper than words and talk alone can go.
Licensed clinical social worker (Georgia LCSW CSW008744). Youth Mental Health First Aid certified trainer. In behavioral health since 2010, in private practice since 2023.
A free 15-minute call is the easiest way to know if we're a fit. No forms, no commitment, just a conversation.
